WHAT IS NUTRITION ?

 An individual can say nutrition is the study of nutrients in food and how the body uses them but there’s more to it ,nutrition is not just about nutrients but in a balanced quantity, proper nutrition should consist of minerals, phytonutrients and antioxidants .  A balanced nutrition is critical at all stages of life and nutrition is crucial for growth and development because as a person gets older proper nutrition is required for energy. To eat a healthy diet u need to understand the 5 food groups which are ; Starchy foods fruits and vegs Dairy  Protein and Fats   These foods are grouped together because they provide similar amount of the key nutrients of the food groups. These foods are then broken down to nutrients.
